Located in heart of IITB Powai, the Combined building for SINE IRCC IDC is a G+7 building with a single level basement. It is a multi-department academic building with an overall area of 19901.11 sq.m. Architecturally it is planned by amalgamating the functions with their volumetric components with large voids. The building is designed to have semi-open spaces welcoming the outdoors and integrating it with the interior spaces, making the building lively and conducive to creative output. The Basement floor with an area of 2549.53 sq.m accommodates storage spaces for various departments. The Ground floor with an area of 2245.9 sq.m accommodates a large welcoming lobby, 2 large exhibition halls for the IRCC dept and few academic and conference spaces for the IDC dept. The First floor with an area of 2294.18 sq.m accommodates classrooms for IDC students and office spaces for IDC staff respectively. The second floor with an area of 2219 sq.m accommodates office spaces of IRCC dept and IDC dept. The third floor with an area of 2269.36 sq.m accommodated office spaces of the IRCC dept. The fourth floor accommodates one of the most interactive spaces of the building with an area of 1801.65 sqm. It accommodates an interactive breakout multipurpose terrace which can be used for informal activities and cafeteria. Functionally, the spaces on the 4th floor are reserved for the IIT department and Bank of Baroda. The Fifth floor with an area of 1844.6 sq.m accommodates office spaces for Sine dept. The Sixth floor with an area of 2406.14 sq.m accommodates rentable office space for Sine dept. The Seventh floor with an area of 2239.99 sq.m accommodates shared labs for sine dept. The terrace of the building is accommodated all the service equipment of the building. It also has provision for the installation of solar panels.
