The program included restoration and upgradation of the existing buildings and addition of 100 rooms. The existing structures built in the 50s and 60s were renovated to harmonize with the Victorian architectural characteristics of the older buildings. Pitched roofs, the lace-like qualities of the Victorian detail in the roof facias, the deep shaded quality of the arched and colonnaded balconies were used as a model to blend into the lush garden environment. The new buildings have a contemporized architectural vocabulary of the existing structures.
